ok, I feel like a noob on this one, been working with Subarus for years but never gotten a full answer on this. I am pretty much turning the outback into something close to a Leggy GT, what is the difference in the cars that actually makes the speedo difference between the 205/55-16 tire size on the GT versus the tall 205/70-15 tire on the outback? is it the final drive gearing is different and the speedo head and vss are all the same, or is it something with ECM programming? Basically I am interested in knowing if there is one or a couple parts that can be swapped to allow running the smaller diameter tires with a correct speedometer. I just put on the coilovers and now am having some rubbing problems fitting a large tire in a small space, guess that is part of modifications, you are never done!!
