Since I now have JDM lights around the whole car, all of the bulb types have changed. I have spent some time tracking down the US bulb number for many of them as well, so I figure I will put them all in a consolidated thread for my future reference, and to assist anyone else who has or is thinking about doing the swap in the future.

This will be an ongoing list based on the bulbs that I have personally changed out. If anyone else has information to add, I will be more than happy to add it to the list.

Are A-C Type and D Type the same exact bulbs for low and high beam? I actually never checked myself.

Also, as far as side marker lights go, some are completely sealed, meaning you have to replace the entire assembly (such is the case with the S401), where as others allow you to replace the bulb. I think the latter exist in Blitzens and RSKs, but I can't tell you for sure. I know Yama has both though, and I only have the sealed markers, so I can't comment specifically on which bulbs they use.

Projector fog should be H3 if I remember correctly. That would make it the same as the US fog lights as well.

Good thing Yama has the Japanese trunk (so we can check license plate bulbs), side markers with replaceable bulbs, and CIBIE fogs in his blitzen bumper. That will fill a good amount of hard-to-get info once we are able to get those bulb numbers. The good news though is that I doubt the license plate bulb info will be relevant anyway. After seeing the small fitment problems from swapping on a Japanese trunk, I doubt many people are going to do it anyway. It's not a big roadblock, but I don't plan on getting a Japanese trunk ever.

They are, I swapped my Narva Rangepower bulbs which were my Low beams on the USDM, to the high beams of both the A~C and the D. I also had bought brand new D2R bulbs on the A~C, which I also swapped into the D.

I do not have side marker lights, but I knew that at least one type had removable bulbs which is why I put the line there.

The Projectors still need to be opened to verify, but I think it did say H3C on it when I had the bumper off.

Are the license plate lights part of the finisher? I thought that it was, but my car is still mostly buried under snow so I cannot double check.

I have been "upgrading" all of my bulbs as I go along, and I will be updating this with links to standard as well as upgrade bulbs.

No, I'm pretty sure license plate lights are separate from the garnish.

I'll check these tonight. I also have two sets of the projector lights out so I can check those easily. I will also get you the info on the CIBIE lights (on Blitzen and RFRB bumpers).

Excellent, thanks Yama.

I need to dig my car out before the 14th as my emissions are due that day, so I will have my other bulb types this week for sure. I think the A~C type turn and city lights may be wrong, as now that I think about it, I swapped in my USDM sockets. The JDM sockets are around here somewhere.. I will have to find them unless someone else can chime in with those numbers.

Yama, did you have time to check the bulb type for the projector style fogs? I have not opened it back up yet, and I am hoping to have replacement bulbs in hand when I do so.

The projector fogs are 12v 55w H3 bulbs.

I didn't get to check the CIBIE lights or the number plate lights.

I looked at my finisher today, and it does look like the license plate lights are indeed part of it. I will look at the USDM one tomorrow to double check, but it did look like they were part of the plastic on the finisher.

I forgot that I had a spare center piece. I checked it and it says 5w 9440.... I think. There's a whole lot of writing on it, but that looks like what the bulb type is. Also, the reverse lights on this center piece says 3156 for the USA bulb type... and the brake lights are 3157.

Is there a possibility we could add to this list (for other generations) and sticky it? I just spent forever trying to find this thread, but it is pretty useful.

This thread could simply list all US bulb types, all JDM bulb types, and then the US equivalent (the two latter which are already listed here), that way we can look up bulbs quickly from out computer without having to go pull the headlight apart or screw around on Sylvania's website. Just a thought, so anyone can easily look up which bulb they need right from SL-i.

I am down for that.. I just need the info to add.

I can compile the US info from the Slyvania site, it's just getting the bulb numbers from Japan that might be a problem. Unless they are in the FSMs, of which I don't have the Japanese versions, so I can't confirm.

This thread is always so darn hard to find, even when using search. It has been added to the "Electrical threads of note (http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2871&p=32245#p32245)" sticky thread.

If you add info for more generations, this thread may be sticky worthy.
