EJ25D rod bearing size?

Doing my head gaskets either this week or next week and I need to figure out the rod bearing size so I can replace them while I'm in there. I have the option of 48mm or 52mm. It's the phase 1 DOHC EJ25D in a 98 Legacy GT.

Have been told it's 48mm

I believe 48mm is correct for the phase 1 ej25. My understanding is that with phase 2, the thrust bearing was moved and the main rod bearings were sized up.

Yeah I also have an EJ253 at my house and the thrust bearing is in the #5 position.

phase 2 = thrust at 5
ej25d = 48mm rod journals
all other ej = 52mm
