Has anyone done this? Is there an easy way to get the “slip on” FULLY on the pedals?

Also, how’d you remove and re-secure the accelerator pedal?

I have them on my 95 wagon. The clutch and brake pedals are slip ons....be forwarned they will not go on easy, as far as the gas pedal you must remove the assembly and drive the pin out that holds it to the arm. You just remove the cable from the top and there are two bolts that hold the assembly to the firewall. Once out you just drive out the roll pin and install the new pad.

Its not as hard as it sounds, took me less time to change the gas pedal then it did to get those damn clutch and brake pedals on.

I didn't realize that the pedals were interchangeable. That would look really hot!

What year WRX pedals would fit a 97 Legacy? Anyone know off hand?

You could always order the STI slip on's like I did. I got mine from here:

As far as I know all the subarus have the same pedals so the should fit any, the pedals I have on my 95 are for a 2003 WRX

I've done the WRX pedal cover swap in both my GT and my wife's RS.

The pedals are the same, part numbers you need are:

2x 36024FA010
1x 36024FA000

Here is a good howto:

Wow, talk about resurrecting an old thread!!
Anyway. I just did this mod, and after about 1/2 hour of unsuccesfully trying to "slip on" the pedals, I found an EASY way to get them on. Just thought I'd share.
On the top two corners on the back, cut the rubber out ONLY right in the corners. That way you can fold the top rubber back easier and they pop right on. Wish I would have taken a pic, but then I seldom do
Hope this helps
