View Full Version : I need a solution for my RSB dilemma.
So I figured out how to fit a GD rear swaybar on a 3rd gen legacy.. with one issue, the stock BE endlinks are about half an inch too short, and thus have broken from three wheeling and making contact with the lateral links.
In order for the swaybar to fit, I need the same style endlinks but roughly 1/2-5/8" longer than stock. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have any pics? From my understanding, the sway bar swings to the endlink so they could mate unless its something you had to mod to make it work. I know from looking at someones MR1 thread, he used the GD sway bar mount (to a 2nd gen though) in order to extend it and not having to hammer the spare tire well. Just have to notch it a bit.
The BE is a bit different.. I used the stock mounting points, bit induced a slight bend around the spare tire well. My issue is the angle between the control arm and swaybar is too extreme for straight endlinks with pass through bolts. They need to be ball joint style endlinks, but a hair longer so they clear the arms.

In that case rougeben83 had a solution

I also bought these for my weird front suspension combo (05 wrx subframe/GD perrin sway/GC8 aluminum control arm) Hopefully the W23180 will solve the endlink problem for my setup.
Thats awesome. I may make some with some heim joints and rod stock
