i just built my motor, and installed it. I'm in the process of buying some engine management. i have looked all over subaru message boards for info. i just came across your board today. i'm looking into getting a perfect power sm6. anyone have pr0's / con's to this or can recommend some inexpensive E/M? people have told me to make sure i get a wideban O2 monitor. i'm not looking to have the fastest car, but something more than the stock 165 Hp. here is the details on my swap:

2.2 turbo legacy shortblock
2.5 DOHC heads
AP head studs
VF39 turbo
Sti radiator
6 speed STi tranny
WRX intercooler
97 legacy GT

thanks in advance.

The perfectpower will work nicely, I've heard nothing but good things about it. I also have had good experiences with the AEM standalone unit.

no help here, but just let me know how it is because that's damn near what i'll be assembling soon enough.

Everyone that I know that is running PP6 has major complaints. It's cheap and I guess you get what you pay for. Bad support too unless you live around P-town.

Apex-i Super FC would probably be a better but more costly solution.
