they're all paved up there unless you actually take it offroad. He could go to the meet up there and keep it on asphalt

Hmmm. The STPR.org and Rally America sites don't have schedules up yet for 2013. (It's also possible I'm just going to the wrong pages.)

My guess would be a weekend trip on Saturday, June 1st. Aside the rally weekend, what else is up in Wellsboro? Any rally vets that can vouch for good grub, other places to go up there?

Dirty Impreza has a meet once or twice a year at the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Other than that idk what's up there.

Also if it's after may I probably wont be able to make it with moving and all...

Well the rally starts the 31th of May. The main day is the 1st of June. We could have a small meet at the Grand Canyon on the 2nd to wrap things up. Share pics of the event and different things.

Just spoke with one of the rally teams. They like the idea. So if you want to go on with this then we can start planning. Also if anyone needs a group to go with for the rally, you could come with me, we do try to hit as many spots as possible so we do haul it from stage to stage.

i'll be there. A buddy and I have been going every year since 07. We stay at the Canyon Motel in town. We get up there usually by noon at the latest on Friday and make a weekend of it!!

The main part where we had the Dirty impreza meet and downtown are paved, but as far as all the stages are concerned, most of them are all dirt at some point. Not to mention i've heard a couple horror stories of people having things taken off their cars since it's basically a giant subaru meet... I would LOVE to see him bring it, and i know of a place it could be kept in a locked garage during the rally, but i doubt i'd happen...lol

There used to be a decent sized group of us that used to caravan up on saturday and do the whole day in the woods (when they ran night stages, the best stages ever!). We would all meet at the hepburnville exit drive up from there early in the morning to catch the cars parked at the green in town. dropedfocus used to help get those meets together.

:smt006 For anyone reading this thread and left with some questions as to what we are talking about; let me explain. Every year there is a rally event in Wellsboro, PA. It starts May 31st (Friday) and ends June 1st (Saturday). My plans are to have a meet June 2nd (Sunday) to bring together some of the spectators and teams for a little meet. Eat some food and talk cars and the rally. I have one team very interested. No details are set as of yet. Should have plenty of parking. As plans unfold I will create a true event page. In the mean time, stay patient. :geek:

The meet was less then 2 miles from his house. He told me he may not drive it farther then a few miles outside Columbia, MD.

I'm also going and will be camping right beside the PA Grand Canyon. I'd love to see a huge meet at the park like the DI meets!

How did this meet go? I just found out about this site a couple of days ago or I would have been there for sure. I go to the STPR every year and I hope you guys will do this next year too. Did any of the teams show up?

We did have one team show up. It was the purple STi. He came early and left just as I pulled in which was still early. I didn't expect this to be a good turn out. Only two people showed up. Next year I'm planning on having it Friday morning or Thursday evening, that way people are pumped and ready to see anything rally related lol. Stay on the look out come next year. I'll try to remember to PM you when planning begins.

That is correct...Nor did I mention Antoine L'Estage...because those aren't really names that would draw additional people who wouldn't have been already planning on going to the rally. I wasn't referring to ability. I was referring to name recognition which, unfortunately, is the only thing that draws any larger crowds to Rally events in this country.
