Well i scrolled through the threads a bit and didnt find one. anybody got experience with swapping in an EG33 into an LGT? mine is a 97. heres the trick. I know i'm going to have to redo some wiring. because I want to keep my 4EAT because it is an offroad rig. anybody know which wires need to go to which sensors or have manuals i could get to compare harnesses and figure out what need to be connected where.
Thanks.
The swap is going in this.

Your imprezzife offroader makes me happy :-D
Good luck with the swap.. Match the engine harness to the body harness and you should be good. About 20-30 wires to merge for full functional cluster, hvac, etc.. but i have a feeling ur not using OBDII so all the Data Link Connector stuff is not needed.

I didn't do any wiring, but I did all the physical mods for "StatGSR's" eg33 swap. Moving the radiator and all that looks like it shouldn't be difficult at all for you based on what you've done to your car already.

That's a sweet battle sedan!
I have done a full EG33 swap on a '95 legacy wagon. I actually still have the swap and the all the parts required in my garage, waiting for a new rally-x toy build.
I have a few build threads around the web and there is lots of good info out there. You will need a few key components to get started and a few other things to button it all up. I actually have all my swap info (somewhere?) including a full merge harness splice chart and the TCU to ECU wiring to make the 4eat behave normally.
It really is not that hard and does not take very long. I am not a wiring expert by any means, this was my second merge harness and I was able to complete it in probably 15 working hours.

This guy also did the swap and had it running for awhile till he parted it out.. It has pretty good info on what he had to do and what problems he encountered.

Thanks for the info guys. now I just have to get the parts in front of me so I can lay it all out and get my plan of attack.
