So, after not finding exactly what I was looking for in the search section, I thought I would just ask around. Lol I have a 2005 Legacy GT, and I'm trying to figure out what struts to go with. I'm looking in 2 basic directions, which greatly change the selections.
1.) Stock Springs
2.) Tein H.Tech lowering springs
Either way, I was interested in which brands everyone liked. So far I have looked into:
1.) KYB (I heard their rates were a little soft)
2.) Koni (not a fan of cutting up the old strut and "installing" the Koni in it's case)
3.) Bilstein (favorite, but requires Spec B top hat, and increases the ride height)
4.) Tokico (looking like the performance front runner)
5.) Factory OEM. (fairly cheap, and the FIT no question. Lol)
Right now I'm "kinda" leaning toward the OEMs with the lowering springs, or the Tokico with the stock springs.
So, any thoughts, other brands, concerns, etc? I'm not looking to do anything crazy (lol did the Tein FLEXs on my wagon... Fun, but not practical), just looking for quality ride, something that compliments the direction the car was designed (as a competitor to the BMW 3 series, Acura TL, etc.) and maybe a little more sporty. Lol thanks in advance.
