i just bought some v7 sti seats for $200...
not including brackets :-?
can i swap them onto my 98 outback rails...
or do i have to buy brackets?

U wont be able to. I tried swaping 97 gt seat rail onto 05 us sti seats and was unable to. Maybe jdm seats are different but I doubt it.

Nope... you'll need universal brackets like Recaro ones..

Removing the rails from the driver side seat is extremely hard since its fixed with rivets ..
Brighton seats are simple and unboltable. :-D
You can create your own brackets.. I suggest a method I used a few years ago to one member

Its not hard but its not easy either.. If you got time and tools then this should cost you less then $50.
