I don't know, it happen the other night when i was driving and one of my friend pulled up the ebrake and the car didn't even budge or stop at all. and i keep going too.

weird, the Brake light comes one when you pull the ebrake up, but doesnt stop the car at all.

Maybe you broke the cable or it became disconnected from the drums.

step 1) punch friend in back of head
step 2) check the cable from the hand brake
step 3)
step 4) profit!

That's an OT Joke, that PWT posted.

As for checking the cable from the hand crank, that's easy, open the center console, unscrew those two screws, pull up on the brake, and pop out the panel.

the other side, I don't know about.

My e-brake sucks too. If i'm stop it's ok, if I pull it when I'm driving nothing. I would do it to my CRX I would do 180's and 360's....ahh I miss that car

pulling the ebrake on an AWD car is bad for it anyways, frys the center differential.

only if you lock up the wheels.

You can adjust the ebrake cable tension with some screws near the brake handle.

well, generally that's what you do with the ebrake...

My friend and I hit up the dirt lot from the video I made recently (in my member's ride page) with his MX-3. He was trying to e-brake drift and was sucking at it. He said "you try!" So I hopped over and was doing some crazy rally stuff. He was stunned "how are you doing that so well???" I was even drifting between the little rock dividers in the lot. His car was alot of fun, and I realize why a FWD hatchback would be alot of fun for me. One day when I'm rich, I'll buy a little CRX or golf, restore its visuals, with just some light exterior tuning, and do a nice and sleeper boost project. When I'm rich....

I havent had alot of time of my hand to fully check it.

but i did took the center dash off and adjust it a little.

but i havent take the wheel off yet. and also there's a starwheel in the brake right?

problem fix.

turns out it was the starwheel that was too loose, tighten it up and adjust the ebrake cable and bam! its all good :P

Just make sure you're not rubbing when the lever is all the way down. You could fry the brakes and decrease mileage.

i dont think it is. nor i can feel the drag.

but the ebrake only pulls up to like 2-3 clicks tho. if i adjust it a little more, it wont work.
