Hi, I got a spoiler for my 03 Legacy L, and would like to do the installation myself, has someone already done this before?
Is there any guide on how to line up, since i do not have a template. And how about brake light wiring? is there a plug there that we can just plug in?
If someone can share their expertise, i will appreciate it.
Thank you very much.

I'm going to discreetly subscribe to this. I'd like to add a spoiler on my BE as well

If you put some putty on the hatch, and then position the spoiler, and press down, it'll show on the putty where the holes for the bolts would need to go.
Honestly though, if you don't have all the mounting brackets, and are scared of drilling the metal, just use aircraft grade body adhesive. That's what I did on my Impreza and the spoiler has been on for 8 years, at speeds up to 150km/h.

I drilled my own holes and installed my spoiler myself, but I used a template, so I can't offer much help in that area. As far as the brake light goes, there is already a connector in the trunk for it. You'll likely see just an open female connector somewhere on the trunk lid and wonder what it is for. That is the connector you want. It should be pretty small. I'll try to get a picture for you if you still have trouble finding it.

Does anyone else have a DIY/write-up for a BH spoiler install? I'm recently bought one and am a little apprehensive about cutting into my hatch... Please help a brother out!

does anyone have a rough idea of where to find a BH6 upper spoiler? I've searched eBay and have had no luck. Any specific key words I should use while searching (other than the obvious ones)

I typed in "BH9 spoiler" on ebay and found four of them.

I might just buy one from Subaru. Will a 98 Outback spoiler fit on a 02 L wagon?

wait a minute.... isn't there another thread going on now suggesting that some 3rd Gen wagons got 2nd Gen spoilers?

Trying to make a 2nd gen fit on a 3rd gen will be stupid looking as they are molded to the hatch.
Also, grow some balls and get a drill. It's not rocket science to mount a wing. You could also maybe call the dealer and see if they have templates available.
3rd gen wings are easy to find, if you wait. I have sold a number of them.
