im planning on putting together a long block package specifically for the guys running the low compression frankenmotor with a turbo. i wanted to see if anyone was interested in something like this. hopefully in the next few weeks ill build a "prototype" for a freind.
it will be about 3k
it will be a my "EJ23D" competition motor.
99 EJ22 shortblock,
forged pistons
EJ253 crankshaft
STi connecting rods
HI-FLO EJ25D heads
should be good for 500WHP.

That would be a scary ride!!

Too bad you are all the way in Utah. I am thinking about EJ257 Frankenmotors for my car and my wife's car. I am thinking STI shortblock with 9:1 or 9.5:1 compression pistons and a medium size turbo. Not really looking for all out power, but a nice linear feel with low lag.

What do you think a short block like that would run? Doesn't have to be EJ257, but something that will handle 350bhp.

Where are u located? I'm intrigued. Also how about a bit of ur history and knowledge. I like to get to know the mechs and their builds

Edit: nvm ur location I just looked into ur under construction website. So I pretty much have to ship my engine to u right?

Thanks huffer. All sl-i members with 500 posts or more are entitled to bro hook up action.

My experience is i started building engines 2 years ago from the best engine builder in utah. It became my passion, and i couldnt get enough of the science physics amd engineering of engines.
