Anyone with a legacy garnish on a BD knows about the gaps it leaves on our cars. Luckily theres a wrecker near me with a JDM legacy in it with a clean same colour bootlid. Apart from getting it home the problem im thinking of is the key hole and all the release cables and stuff. Does it all work in the same way? Also does a GT spoiler swap directly with the lower model one?

Thought you were talking about shift boot lol. Swapping the trunk/bootlid is pretty easy. To transfer your old key lock to the jdm one, you just have to swing the plastic piece that holds the rod and then pull the retaining clip that holds the lock. Do the same to remove the jdm one and transfer your old one to it. Try to get the brake light wiring harness by unplugging it near by the rear pass strut tower. If it cost extra, you can reuse your old one.

Here is when i got mine

As far as the gap goes, its the same dimension as the non JDM ones so it should fit perfect. Which also means you can bolt the GT wing on it.

You can mess with the gap by shifting the trunk and have someone in the trunk to tighten it. Haven't really messed with mine but it should be the same gap as your old trunk.

Yep, super easy! The hardest part is lining it up right. Not hard to do at all.
