I have a 95 BK and am currently using a stock 04 WRX Wagon suspension and it is a great ride along with handling i have to admit but i will be selling them shortly since i just came across a great deal through a buddy. I got 03 WRX Wagon H-Tech's with KYB GR-2's with about 50K on them for $125,so im curious if anyone has this setup on their wagon and how they like them. Im aware of the 3/8" spacers i need to get to prevent the "Saggy Butt" but is there any rubbing of fittiment issues? pictures of this setup would be cool...Thanks all :smt023

GR-2 = great .,.. S-Tech's = Shit.
H-Tech is the proper spring. Just research S-Tech and read the horror.

Thanks for your reply,it seems as though people who bought S-Tech's off E-Bay got some knock offs that were trash a while back according to some research im finding but you suggesting the H-Tech's seems like the more popular out of the two. For $150 i can't go wrong im thinking because they are better then no drop at all for that price. My bad...these are bronze in color so i do have the H-Tech's...

they are just for show.. they are not progressive springs or any useful feature.. S-techs are shit.. even the original Tein units have bad reviews.
Stick with H-Tech or go with a better brand like Swift or Hotchkis

My bad, they are bronze in color so they are H-Tech's. Is there any fittiment issues or rubbing that you know of,or are the 3/8" spacers the only thing to add into the conversion? Thanks....

I'm running a set of H&R's and GR-2's on my BD and I'm very happy with the performance.
I had a set of Tein's on my Silvia, but they were a progressive spring. Rode nice, but I never knew what line that were, I got them used.

Im curious about the drop and ride, seems like with the spacers it should sit nice. Im just concerned about rubbing or other fittiment issues. It would be cool to see some pics. By the way you got my vote on this months ROTM...Great job restoring that rare car back to life. :smt023

Direct fit and the saggy but spacers are not needed but they do level out the look.
H-Techs are great go nuts and enjoy cornering.. Just get an alignment before you hit the street.

My BD rides SOOOOO Much better then my GT-B! The GT-B has Billies and some kind of springs I dont know what they are.
As for fitment, they are perfect! The only time I rub is every now and then I rub the fronts coming into my driveway, but that it extrealy rare. Only when hauling ass... haha
And thanks for the vote! The other cars are also clean rides as well!

I agree with what's been said so far. WRX H-tech's and GR-2's should make for a nice ride. I'd recommend the 3/8" spacers. I have a pair on my car to help it look more leveled out.
There should be no fitment issues. They should bolt up. With your 16" WRX wheels there should be no rubbing at all either! If you move up to 17" wheels and/or bigger than stock tires, that's when there might be some contact.
Good luck, have fun!

Thanks for the pics, looks very nice w/ big drop in the rear but 3/8 spacer did its job. Give us description of the ride please, I'm thinking H&R or S-Tein but many people don't like S type for some reason. Bouncy bumps, jolt w/even pavement?
I have 03 WRX KYB w/ 3/8 spacers and looking for low springs but not harsh ride.

I'll probably get hell for this, but I really don't see what all the hate on s-techs is. Yes they are low and not progressive, but they (on stock wrx struts) are a heck of a lot better than cheap coil overs. This is what i have on my own car and am great so far.If you want a decent looking and IMHO good handling daily, they are fine. Of course, there are much better options.
