More info @ http://boxeer.com/
Note: that boxeer.com is a vw bug/camper/bus/airplane swap shop and all of the "height/compact/clearance" parts they sell are for vw/airplanes only.. Subarus have more then enough room for this setup.

Boxeer.com also sells Bosch ECU for this swap.. is this needed.. depends on the source of your motor and if it comes with all the wiring/ecu/immobilizer/key/etc...

Let the posts begin.

Please ONLY EE20 DIESEL TALK!!

I have this feeling that if I talked to a number of friends, I might be able to get a half cut for less. This is if they have them in Japan. Not sure about Europe.

I want to know more! What car did they come in and what years?

i am looking into this as a mod on my 01 legacy l wagon. biggest issue i can see is no power steering pump. since the cars that this come on all have electric power steering..

any thoughts.

Well, looking at the main sites in Scandinavia there aren't many available.
Cheapest one i found costs 4200$ and i have no idea what comes with it or the condition.

Necromancy at it's best.

It looks like the guys a Boxeer have a power steering solution for $125. Total outlay for this swap would be about $10k in parts I am guessing and the wiring and fueling would be the biggest hurdles. Being it is a physically smaller and possibly lighter engine, it should be a pretty easy mechanical swap. I would LOVE to do this. Throw a larger turbo on it for a little more powah, and start hunting Evos and Vettes all while getting 40+mpg. So many choices when it comes to Lego cars.
