So I have been lusting after a turbo Subie for years, and this past Sunday I made my dream a reality! I drove 400 miles to pick up this 2005 BSM Legacy GT 5eat. Completley stock at the moment, but hopefully that will be changing soon

Very nice find. Definitely looks worth the trip and also for the blank slate to start with.

That's a gorgeous car. I've always lusted after the GT Wagons. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Might as well provide an update, I now have my 2005 LGT on the road and I picked up an '05 Outback XT last fall as well. That one is a project for the time being, but I just got my fist performance mod for my LGT: a Cobb SF intake used with <5k from a '13 WRX. I am swapping the MAF housing/velocity stack this weekend with someone local who has one for a legacy and just happened to need one for a WRX :) The only other mods I have done are plastidipping my grille and putting on red taillight overlays, as well as the hogzaust mod.
Anyways, here are some pictures.

Well, to say the least it's been quite a busy summer so I figured I'd update my thread here. As I last posted, my first mod was that Cobb intake. Since then, I've done a bit more.

I went to the Midwest Subaru Meet in June

Took it to Nevada, stopping at the salt flats :)

Then I decided to go a bit crazy. I started with buying a new EJ257 block from Off The Line Performance in Des Moines, IA.

Next up I had the heads rebuilt at RJ Machine of South Sioux City, NE.

Put it all together with a new oil pump, timing kit, PCV system, oil cooler, oil pan, and every gasket on the motor.

Got it back into the car

Got it running

Got a set of Prodrive P1's in 17x7

Took it to College with me

Fixed my failed wheel bearing

For my E85 tune I added the pictured parts as well as 850cc injectors, a DW65c fuel pump, TGV deletes, GM 3 port EBCS, a low mile VF46, and an STi catless UP. My tuner, Graham at Boosted Performance Tuning, tells me he estimates about 310hp and 350 ft/lbs at the wheel on ~22lbs of boost. I can't get enough of this car.

Sounds like a bunch of fun over the last couple of months!

How do you like the CNT downpipe so far? Im thinking about picking up one in the near future.

I really like it. Great quality and a bit cheaper than the Invidia one.

Definitely needs some rear tints. Wagons just don't look right without it.
Other than that, it's a pretty sweet setup
