What about just running a straight accesory line from the main fuse block or battery itself?

First off, buy a multimeter. This will allow you to see what wires have power at what times. You dont want power going to it all the time, just when the car is on. Splice into a line that has 12volts. I suggest searchign on google and learning a few basic electrical skills.

multimeter is in hand already

Can I find any 12 volt line and tap into it? (one that isnt on all the time that is)
Wont that be taking power away from whatever the line was meant for?

You don't? I thought all power seats were always on. They don't draw power of you're not using them.

And if you're looking to wire through a firewall, Rick, refer to my DIY writeup.

You could take to 12V from the wires that run under the drivers door sill, perhaps the feed to the power antenna if you have one. Also you might want to run a fuse in line to the seats when you splice in. If i was you, I wouldnt run constant 12V to the seat. run it off of a wire that only has power when the key is in the ON postion or ACC position.

Well I got a crap load of wiring from the guy I got my seats from, I just have to see if any of the harnesses will work

I doubt it will be plug 'n play. I don't think Subaru had power seats until 2000.

Im in over my head:

Not with taking apart the interior, the electrical. I was told there would be an accessory line behind
the stereo I would be able to use for the seats but thats definitely not the case.. unless I missed it.
This is all thats behind the stereo:

Only the plugs for the stereo and cigarette lighter.. nothing more

The harnesses are in NO WAY plug and play, sure they plug into the seats but I have to splice to
whatever wire I end up using.

ah forget it, it needed to be done QUICK so I did a half assed job and ran a wire straight from the battery.. just have to get the heated seat switches and figure that mess out now

running from the battery shouldn't be a problem, our honda has that, as well as our Plymouth. The switch turns the power on, there is no constant draw.

Heated seater switches...you should also wire this from the battery, and then have a relay setup where power goes from the accesory (you could splice the cig lighter) to the switch, to the relay.
