So after sitting for 7 month as I've decided to fix my head gaskets on my BE. So I bought ej255 head gaskets. Gates timing belt. Water pump. Group n motor mounts. Oem head studs. Got new valve seals. I'm gonna have the head checked at my machine shop. Compression was good so I wasn't gonna do the rings.so is there anything I should look at or replace while I'm here? Motors not out yet I'm starting this tmrw but all the parts are ordered already.

Ehh... Just do an STi swap and call it good...
haha...
Make sure you do all you seals and what not. Cam's, crank, bla bla... not sure if the SOHC have the plastic air/oil separator plate on the rear, but if it does, replace that with a metal one from Subaru.

Am I missing something here... you bought EJ255 (2.5 Turbo) head gaskets for your EJ251 (N/A 2.5)???

Fairly common to do, actually. I hear they're a little thinner than the standard gaskets but better built and, especially when paired with ARP studs, pretty much guarantee that your head gaskets never leak again.
