Engine Problems

Original: 1995 BK6 EJ22E SOHC
Replacement: 1998 Phase 1 EJ25D DOHC - ran great when pulled, all i did was take off the IM to swap harness'

Current Setup:
EJ22 Engine Harness
EJ22 ECU
EJ22 MAF
EJ25 everything else
New Plugs, Wires, Oil & Filter

Issue:
-Grinding on first cold startup until i let off the clutch
-jumping idle
-GLOWING RED hot cats, smoking like crazy, not much smoke gets to the tailpipe but what comes out is white
-NO CEL, no stored codes

^i started the car and stepped out.. it's going crazy on it's own...
-the ticking is a missing header bolt exhaust leak,
-around :35 the engine bogs down and backfires(?) or something

I was throwing a P0115 for a bit on the first start after the swap but i cleared it, checked the plug (think it was loos) cleared the code and its not come back the e ECU resets itself every time i shut it off for the night because my batterys dead-dead and i need to jump it to start it

It sounds like my friends car with no IACV (he is using a phase 2 ej25 on his phase 1 ej22 harness)
I would take the manifold out again to see if you have everything hooked up and correctly. Since everything started to happen when you removed it
