Took us a day to take all the jdm goodies  but months to put stock parts back (had to get it painted) and aquiring parts to fix the suspension damage. It sat in my friends garage and he was only good on taking stuff out lol. Most of the tools are at my house so I had to drive back and forth to work on it. Sometimes we didn't have the same free time. Its all good, it bought me sometime to work on the cars at home before I can bring this car and fully work on it.
He wanted to take all salvagable parts and take it to a junkyard since we basically got our money's worth. But I wanted to have it back on the road. Besides it would be a win win to have all those parts plus sell the car for what we got it for (+ the parts to make it road worthy).

Thanks! I was actually surpise the dude still had it for sale since its been on craigslist around sacramento for about 3 weeks. Didnt have enough and was able to convince my friend to go half on it. Funny thing is that he wanted $950 but my friend thought half of that was $425. I didn't think much about it and brought about the same amount. Luckily I was able to talk him down to $850 but my friend thought I was hustling him when I ask for the full amount that he had. He gave me the look like he should be saving $50 and about to argue in front of the seller. I was able to pull him aside and tell him he's asian and can't do math smh :smt021 :smt005 hahaha
I guess it was kinda good that he couldn't do math and saved $100 or else we would of made a trip to an ATM lol

Here he is as I'm trying to teach him how to paint. Kinda scared me in one point, when he held the paint gun sideways for a kill shot lol

As far as the body, here is how it went.
He took the jdm front bumper, jdm grill, jdm mirrors and hood. We swap back his L front end w/fogs on this car and his mirrors
I took the GT rear bumper, RFRB wing, jdm molding/side marker and swap my outback rear bumper, stock wing and stock molding
You can see on the pic above that were painting the multiple color panels to white to somewhat match the car.

This are the parts that I ended up changing to get the driver suspension correct.
front subframe
axle
inner/outer driver tie rod
driver lower control arm
fender
sway bar stock endlink
strut
Drove it around to get it ready for smog and came back with p0420. Swapped in another converter and drove it around again and went to smog it and PASSED. Really clean, flying colors. Also talk to my old coworker and he's needed a car and I told him about this wagon and he wants it when its done. Took my car to his place and wanted one too with a hood scoop lol
Here is it getting put back together to be roadworthy and be sold. :smt026

Negative on that. He doesn't have much and have a big family to provide. This will be a perfect car for him. I will keep this thread updated since I stop by his city once a month.
Here are some problems I had to fix.
There was no air getting blown thru the vents and there was no lights on the cluster. Swapped in blower motor and illumination module from my outback and fixed the problem. Had to donate some from the outback since it took alot of parts from it lol. OMG the A/C is so cold on this car, I don't even have A/C on my BD. I wanted to keep it but I know it will go to someone that really needs it.
