Hey everyone,
I've actually been lurking in your forums for some time now. Figured now is as good a time as any to pop in and join the ranks.

My buddy got me hooked, or rather invested, in Subaru many years back while playing with his rexxes. I personally don't like the pugish look, but have been attracted to the odd mechanics and filthy noises that is the trademark of the Subaru beast.

My weapon of choice is now a 95 legacy brighton wagon. I bought it in horrible condition for next to nothing. And the fun never ends! It's now in daily driver condition... sorta. My next move is transmission decisions. And I'm hunting for the mythical 95 exhaust system.

Anyway, it's great to actually make your acquaintances! Plus... thanks for all the help I already peeped from behind the bushes!

Welcome! Check out members ride and you'll see other brighton owners. Also whats so mythical about a 95 exhaust system? Unless your talking bout the 95 dual port heads

I haven't been able to find pre-fab'd parts designed for the 95. Basically, it'll be all custom made, but I'm not at the point where I can just let some stranger play with my pipes.

I'll sniff through the diy's later today, I saw some pretty interesting header work.

Gah... looks like exhaust will have to wait. I have no brakes today! The rustier the bucket, the more drama in the queen.

I went to the scrap yard yesterday, since it was 50% off weekend. Got a tach, cig lighter, and rear speaker door trim. The tach install was an easy 5min $5 upgrade. That is, after the extra 5min it took to decide I didn't like the outback one I just put in that was the wrong color. The rear speaker install was also a breeze. Surprisingly, the cig lighter was the part that didn't work. I'll have to look into that later.

ICan just shoot myself for not taking the rear brakes off an L while I was there. The drum versions of legacy/outbacks are notorious for pissing fluid. Ol' rusty is always wanting something, why can't they be non life threatening things!
