BE5, Intercooler Swap from GC8

While I was replacing my clutch hose line on my car I looked to see if the intercooler is similar to other Subaru models. I found a GC8 STi intercooler at my local upgarage and from what I can tell it looks to be able to work with my gfb bov and as long as I use my pipes from the turbos, has anyone done this before with success? Or are there any other better performing intercoolers that will bolt up to a be5?

There was a post awhile ago that compared intercoolers for different vehicles. You'd have to search for it, but they compared a number of top mounts both factory and aftermarket.

Any luck on this man? I have an STI top mount (GC8) I think but was told it's the same as the BE5 one anyway. Don't really care, cool to have something genuine STI on the car :)
