So I found a RHD postal wagon here in town that's relatively affordable, but like the rest of them it's an Auto, which I can't effing stand. So before I jump into it I'm doing a little research on just what it would take to 5-speed the old girl. Spent a little time hunting around on google but can't find anything about anybody that's actually done it.
What I HAVE found is I can use the following parts off of a USDM/LHD car for sure:
Transmission
Starter
Shifter bits, covers, and linkage
Correct 5 spd ECU to deal with ABS issues (I don't like ABS anyhow, buuuuut)
So, my only real concern is what pedal set and linkage I need to make this stuff happen.
Will a LHD pedal set fit at all with the transmission hump there by where the clutch pedal and linkage would be?
I'm fairly certain cutting and/or welding will be involved and I'm definitely not scared of any of that, just need the information on what parts are necessary to keep all of that to a minimum.
