Saved this Brighton from becoming soda cans. It was basically a throw away car until I come across a better one, but she just refuses to go down without a fight.
The previous owner brought it here to California from Virginia, and I'm guessing learned very quickly that you can actually own a car that isn't covered in salt and rust... So now I have it.

The poor girl is falling apart faster than I can swap parts in, but it's oh so much fun trying.

I just saved a Bk from the scrap yard as well. Good luck on your new project!

Thanks! I'll likely be keeping an eye on yours, since I enjoyed what you did with "Lucy"! Good luck to you as well!

Found a better gas filler door at the junkyard that didn't have a hole in it. Went looking for outback bumpers, but came up empty this run.

I'm actually surprised how decent the paint is after a bath in ONR.

The head lights are in desperate need of some Thom luvin...

I still miss that car. But the wagon will be better!

Swapped out a bag full of nuts, bolts, and screws with rust free junkyard bits I've been cleaning up.

Finally got fed up enough to use my fancy Prestone headlight restore kit...

Got a box of stuff from Wisconsin Mark. Finally got a working ashtray, and started adding tweeters into the doors.

I think ol' rusty has about had it. Driving through the city with no issues, light turns green, vroooom clunk vrrrooom clunk clunk clunk! I'm guessing it's the gearbox. I fully expected to see trans oil everywhere, but it didn't leak a drop. No axle grease. No obvious external clues. I think it's time to let her go in peace...

I think I'll head over to Chris' and see about the H6 VDC he has. The McIntosh almost makes me overlook the fact I have zero experience with them :)

Vroom clunk vroom clunk clunk is never a good sound....

One of the worst sounds in my opinion :(

Going to head over to Autoworld today and pick up something with a little less rust!

Make sure it says Legacy on the back! Or Outback. Or at least Subaru.

Got $1000 trade-in for the rusty Brighton! She'll most likely be stripped down for parts, then off to the junkyard.

After bombing around in about a dozen cars, I pulled the trigger on this 2000 :) (will update in a little bit)
