Since my Brighton has drums, how hard is it to switch to a disc brake setup? calipers, rotors, and maybe some brakcets? Or do I need a whole control arm?

Hubs & Brake Lines are the same between setups.

You need the brackets, rotors, ebrake cables, calipers, ..

Hubs are the same, but aren't the knuckles different?

I bought, for my Brighton, a rear disc conversion set that a guy was selling over on USMB. He sent me everything below the sub frame except the axles and struts. Which is how I would definitely do it if I was to go pull parts from the yard myself. Sure might cost a little more in parts, but you have ALL those drum brake parts to flip after, to sell as a complete unit.
