Hi! I'm Jake. I've been a lurker here for well longer than is reasonable and figured I'd finally make an account for myself.

I'm more of a look for stuff on forums than a post a bunch kind of guy, but I'm sure I'll make some contributions now and again.

Anyhow, I live in Vicksburg (south of kalamazoo), and I am a heavy structures aircraft mechanic, meaning I do sheetmetal work on corporate jets. As far as my tastes in automobiles, I am a Subaru convert (from mostly nissans) as is my wife. I drive a beat up but ever faithful 96 Brighton wagon. It's green. My wife drives a 09 legacy limited sedan. Not green lol, it's a dark grey ish thing.

The (my) car as of now is an ex turbo car (built and installed by yours truly) that will be turbo again shortly. It's a single port 2.2 auto with 267k on it, and no oil leaks if you can believe that. As far as I know I'm only the 3rd owner as well. It is currently on wrx sedan struts with a tech springs, which to be honest I'm really not sure why everyone hates on, they ride perfectly fine. I also have an e31 m5 drivers seat cause well it was in my garage, and free, and my stock seat was beat to hell. Also today I put a 98 gt silver bumper on cause the stock green one was well and truly "clearanced" to fit the large front mount previously installed.

In my spare time I like to tinker. I really don't enjoy buying car parts, so if I can, I make them. More of a sense of accomplishment to me I guess. I also like to ride bmx, and motorcycles. As of right now I have a 05 Ducati monster 620 in anniversary red. It's a hoot. Also I'm into all things beer snob. But I don't judge, pbr is fine too. Looking to start home brewing soon as well.

I think that's about it. I can and might post some pictures of my turbo setup if anyone is interested, or the bike or whatever. Thanks for having me!

98 gt silver bumper I mounted just friday. I think Im going to paint the bottom half of the car silver to match sorta kinda like an outback, but no paint over the arches, I really dislike that.

Current installed engine project. Im going to make a uel header to go up in front of the crossmember without notching, stay tuned lol.

Previous turbo setup. No management, just 12:1 fmu and overly rich. Its a dsm t25 thats been clocked to fit. Spool was ~ 2200 rpm, 9psi ish.

Capitans view. Scanguage 2 on the column, aem wideband, autometer boost and fuel pressure in center console. And a crappy jvc radio

It would be awesome if you could modify my up pipe to run around the crossmember...then I can finish my turbo project. Looking awesome though. Is that single or dual port?

The_momo

Single port. The header will be pretty much just like a wrx uel long tube, but the up pipe will either be individual runners off each manifold tube (1 7/8" primaries each x2) or a collector to 2- 2 1/4" single pipe that is flattened out a little. I haven't really looked into it much to be honest, only enough to see that there is more than enough room to make this work. Nothing off the shelf will work I'm sure, but that's really not my style anyhow.

My ultimate goal (pipe dream whatever) is to mount the m90 similarly to the Subaru supercharged baja concept with a intake mani plenum on either side of it, and have the turbo as well. Maybe do some 25 dual cam heads. I like the idea of twincharged. It would be totally unnecessary, but would look really cool lol.

I have a lot of other really off the wall ideas that I may or may not act upon.

Just watch what power your putting into the engine...it'll give eventually
