PCV valve for '03 EJ251?

I have a question about PCV valves/intake manifolds in the '03MY.

I ordered a PCV valve a long time ago on rockauto. Just got around it installing it a few days ago. It doesn't fit. The threading is way too big. I've checked every parts website, including Subaru ones, and they all list a valve with threading that is substantially larger than 3/8" hose connection while the valve that's on my vehicle is about the same size on the threaded end as the hose end.

Was there some sort of crossover in the '03MY that I don't know about? The manifold I have definitely is for a phaseII EJ25, with the offset coil pack mounts, and obviously it has a MAP sensor throttle body.

Sorry I had to. I am not aware of a difference in the PCV valves so I am going to assume it is an error on Rockauto.com's part.

Ur 03 is a ej251 and not a ej253? I know they're really isn't that much of a difference but I may never know. They sell Pcv valves at aap for like 3$ y even bother rockauto lol

All the listings say EJ251. I guess I could double check.

Looking at AAP's website, 14.99 is the lowest price for an exact fit replacement part. Napa was $16. Both look wrong. I got the rock auto one for about $6.

The point isn't that rockauto screwed up, it's that everyone seems to have the wrong part and I'm confused.

15$ at aap?? Really? I just picked one up last month during my oil change for 3$. That's weird. Maybe on aap it depends where u live?? Idk

Did you get a universal one or a direct fit one?

I guess it's possible they have universals with the right threading. Or perhaps something was on clearance.
