View Full Version : Scangauge horsepower test - How much do you put down?

I know there are quite a few people on here who have scangauges.

I want to know how much HP your car puts down during a specific test.

I am thinking HP reading at a certain RPM and gear or maybe just max HP that you can read.

Shift to second, foot floored, HP is at around ______ at _____ RPM.

What is the best method to test so that we can see what each persons setup is putting down?

rats, the scanguageE doesn't read HP. At least, I haven't been able to find the setting.

In 5th gear so I could really stretch it out, I've gotten to 155hp at around 6,000rpm, before chickening out. I don't remember my speed but it wasn't slow.

Yea that is why I was thinking like 2nd gear.

Today in 3rd gear at about 4000 RPM with my foot floored it showed HP at 123 HP before I let off the gas.

I am wondering what it would top out at if I wasnt breaking in the motor. :twisted:

since when could scanguage tell you how much HP your kicking out???
