Just picked up a used set of 1st gen forester struts and springs. I know this will lift the car 3" above stock ride height, and I want to know what will be needed to make the drive line suitable for this upgrade? Here's what I think I need to replace,

-trailing arm bracket
-engine crossmember bushings
-trans crossmember???

Body spacers, something on the steering and maybe front control arm.
Basically the reverse way of this

Too bad your not nearby, I wanted to lower my BG the right way and you want to raise it up the right way. Would of been a perfect swap lol

You'll be fine without the body spacers. I've been running this way for 9 months. I do highly recommend a pair of outback trailing arm brackets to recenter the rear wheels.

You will have some saggy butt going on though. Replacing the rear struts with 04-08 Forester replacements or 96-99 OBW will make it more level.

Paranoid Fabrications makes some spacers for Foresters that can take care of that saggy butt, otherwise.

I've been talking to Superu and he said that as long as I get Outback or Forester trailing arm brackets I should be good. I'm currently trying to trade for some 16" aftermarket wheels with some Bridgestone Blizzaks (I know they're winter tires but they'll work) which will lift it up some more. I can't wait!!!
