Name that little coolant hose

Dear forum-

I've got a 92 Legacy non-turbo. Great car.

I've managed to locate a coolant leak at the bottom end of this small hose, which runs from right above the temp sensor down to the nether regions under the rear of the intake manifold. This is a roughly U-shaped hose about 5 inches long. I don't think i can replace it myself since this lower end is in a ridiculous spot with an unfortunately placed clamp. But If I can get a replacement myself I hope that this will lower the mechanic's bill (hoping that a pro mechanic will have some exotic needlenose and the ability to do a quick switch without removing the manifold. I need the name to order one. i've found one online in a set of hoses labelled 'PCV hoses' but I think this is wrong. See pic where I'm touching the hose with a screwdriver:

Maybe someone can post an exploded view with the ref #. I'd just call the dealer. My stealership parts guy could name it if you described on the phone. He's a wizard.

Small coolant hose is called a by-pass hose. Just go to aap or any parts store n say that u need a coolant by-pass hose. I sell quite a few of them during the week. Good luck

just to be sure- the bypass hose is not the adjacent very short v-shaped hose of same diameter? Not visible in my pic.

If you are referencing the one that your screwdriver appears to be touching then here is a better shot of that hose but from my 99 legacy. Granted they might be slightly different but I bet that the coolant line still goes to the throttle body.

Oh yea... and for the future... when you run into corbin clamps that are in hard to reach places... this is your answer... I have used it COUNTLESS times since I have bought it.

Honestly, if you take the intake piping and the Idle bypass air line off, it shouldn't be that hard to get to. I've been in that area a few times, and I didn't have much trouble getting at everything if you just remove enough stuff.

Warning: A crazy amount of coolant will come out when you disconnect any hoses in that area - The coolant crossover pipe is right next to it and it holds more than you'd think!

You were right Mark-

After struggling to reach it for quite a while after taking away alot of hoses and wiring, I finally removed the valve assemblage above the temp sensor and it was right there. I'm glad I didn't have the socket needed to realize my plan to remove the throttle body, as this was much easier.

So Gate website "NAVIGATES" lists this as PIPE-4 to VALVE, part # 18207. Here is a link.
