Hi!

I'm Jeroen from the Netherlands. Living together with my wife, 11 months old daugther and some pets.
I own a store in home decorations. Curtains, carpets, blinds, etc.

I'm the proud owner of a '07 (pre-facelift) Legacy 2.0R Touring Wagon.

It's not OEM anymore, but I like it to look as OEM-ish as possible anyway.
Mostly suspension upgrades. Koni yellows. UEL header. Catback exhaust. Some optical stuff.

The lines keep me in love with this car. :wink:
I like the exhaust too. I extended the tips recently. They where flush with the rear bumper; whick I like better, but extended tips give a lot less drone in the trunk area.

The side skirts are OEM. But the rear 'skirts' are JDM aero splash guards. Still looking fot a set for the front. :roll:

Removable exhaust silencers, painted black. No more drone, but still a dark rumble. No significant performance loss. Wife happy. ;)

Update!

I Upgraded the brakes...a bit. Braking is 15-20% better now. Clearly more bite.
I thouroughly cleaned the brake calipers. It was a nice project. Thought of painting them, but mèh. I don't want to show off tiny OEM brakes. I painted the front calipers and repainted rear calipers flat black to match the rears. Also painted the 'disc protection plates'. Calipers in the back where black originally and fronts started to show some rust.

Mtec Black Edition grooved discs + Mintex pads.
The discs are nicely coated satin black everywhere but the brake survace (whick wears off very quickly). No rust...for a while. :rolleyes:
I really love Mintex, because they perform above average, are quite easy on the discs and they leave very minimal brake dust on my rims. (Compared to my previous Bosch OEM style discs + Ferrodo DS2500 pads.)


One HID bulb died on me, so I switched from 6000K HID to 5000K HID. I really loved the futuristic bleu-ish 6000K, but now I look the less aftermarket looking, and better overall performing 5000K more. Took a photo of them, also showing my Philips LED bulbs and 3000K HID fog lights.

I also finally got my hands on a front set of OEM JDM aero spats.

I modded the HID bulbs for better light display (turned them inside the housing with HID rod facing up.)

Almost forgot to mention I 'installed' a EZ-lip AKA overpriced garage door sealer after obliterating my replica STI lip. Came up with a nice idea to lift up the corners, if I may say so myself. ;)

Of course I like the sound without silencers much better. With silencers still ok, but some metallic drone.
For daily driving the setup without silencers simply is a bit too loud inside the car.
Even when it's not much quieter outside, it's WAY more silent inside the car with silencers mounted.
