drums to discs swap?

I realized I haven't posted anything I'm awhile because I have had the nightmare to deal with of a 1997 Chevy suburban. But I'm looking around at Subaru's I found a legacy Brighton 2.2 5 speed and it has 150,000 with no tach first thing is will one with a tach swap right in?

Now the question on the title will I be able to swap brakes from a outback onto this Brighton. I want the 2/1 pot calipers and rotors I hate drums. If I can replace these how much of the car will I have to replace for them to work?

The tach should swap right in. Check out diy section cause i remember someone had done it before.

As far as the front brakes, you just swap the outback calipers/pads/rotors.
The rears you'll need the whole knuckle/spindle assembly(rotors/pads/calipers/parking brake assembly) ebrake line and brake lines.
We did a rear disc on my friends 97 impreza obs and i was gonna do a diy but i thought all legacy comes with a rear disc but i forgot about the brighton model.

^ What he said... It's pretty easy to do the fronts and the rears are also some what simple.

Some L models only had drums, too. 4 wheel disc was an optional extra until you stepped up to the Outback, LS, LSi, or GT models.

The rear disc swap is super cake easy to do. Just did mine a short while back. Only part that was even close to being a struggle was getting the new parking brake cables routed correctly. Of course, I didn't drop any of the heat shielding or anything else underneath the car before attempting it either.
