So on my rhd 97 2.2L single port, my left side heads are leaking internally so it's HG and Timing time for her. I was reading a little on the dual(90-96) and single port(96-99).

I was curious.... Is it worth it to swap good resurfaced dual port 2.2 heads on my motor or just get my current single port heads sent off to a machine shop.

I really don't want to do another 2.5 swap like I did in my last legacy so that kind of is out of the question as of now.

In all reality there isn't much difference in flow, I've seen many people argue about it over the years. I've always preferred the dual ports for the simple reason of header options. If you have the heads and y pipe laying around you might as well go for it to eliminate extra downtime, but if it means buying the parts I wouldn't bother.

With Steve in St Helens, OR making EXCELLENT single port headers now, combined with the "better flow" of single port, that's what I'm sticking with.

Please tell me you're not slapping a $300 price tag on them.

Why not do an EJ25D? The swap is cake. If not, I would just say clean the old heads up and call it a day.

Or get some balls and do a TT swap and be cool like me. :smt028
