L.L Bean edition steering wheel in a 01' Legacy wagon

I came across a L.L Bean edition wood and leather steering wheel (just the wheel, no airbag) from my local junkyard for 25 bucks out of a third gen outback and was wondering if anyone has ever tried to install one in a 2001 legacy L?

Should be identical. Just be sure to a, disconnect the battery before removing your airbag and b, leave the nut that holds the wheel in place threaded on like a turn or so. That way, when the wheel comes off, you don't hit yourself in the face.

Yeah, it is a direct bolt on, however, you will need an H6 airbag, or JDM MOMO. The 4 cly bags are different size and will not fit.

I have a wheel like this on my 98 Legacy. The airbag plugs are ever the same.

I have no way of knowing right now... I have been meaning to pull brads bag and see if it works on my wheels, but havent yet.

02-03 wrx momo airbags will fit as well into wood/leather steering wheel

yeah, the jdm stuff will interchange with the usdm stuff, got a wrx steering wheel with a jdm b4 airbag...
