I know there's a large amount of work that would be needed, but does anyone know exactly how much it would be? Would a BK bumper beam fit under a third-gen cover?
I have seen (Fairly recently) a picture of a BG with a Blitzen bumper, so I know it's not 100% impossible... But, A, it was just the one pic, no information, and B, The search function keeps ignoring 'wagon' and 'bumper' when I go to find the picture... So, that's not working...

Nothing is impossible.. but I am sure there would be quite a bit of fabrication required..

the easiest way would be to cut top section of the BK bumper and splice it on to the bottom section of newer one, iirc fusor brand has adhesives that can fuse two pieces together, then smooth the line with sanding and done

This was just a test fit of my Outback bumper on Muses BK to see how good or bad the fit was..

It fit way better than I expected.. the second picture really isnt great, but it fit very well considering the bits around the lights were still on there.

Yeah, width is the same, it goes just about as far back as the BK bumper does, and will probably be just right with a little trimming. The fog lights might be an issue for me, as I haven't really got much fabrication skill to make brackets, but it's a possible thing...

As you can see, the wheel arch lines up really well with the bumper's line. The only real fitment issues are where the 2nd-gen fender dips just a tad and the third-gen doesn't, a problem which a little trimming will solve, and the fact that the Outback has flares where the Legacy doesn't. A Legacy bumper shouldn't have that issue.
I'm also gonna need to fill in the holes where the upright parts used to be.
