MagnaFlow or Greddy EVO2? need experience!

My thread is listed in the sig line, but its a 97 Outback 2.5NA. A lil intake work. And no plans to go UEL and will always have the cats on it.

I need exhaust soon and was planning on just having a shop throw a Magnaflow on it. I know how it will sound, but at best it'll have a stock looking tip.

Then I came across a Greddy EVO2 for $100! I love the look of the tip, but is it going to sound ricey?! I want a good throaty sound and better breathing than the factory!

How large is the inlet? That kind of matters in terms of "rasp".

I think he said it was a 2.5", i know in general, its best not to go too big otherwise you harm the back pressure and that effects the scavenging. I think I've read that 2.25-2.5" is ideal, is that right?
