Hey guys! I bought the electric antenna BG5 model, I install it but I need someone to help me with the drilling of the outside of the chassis:

I've thought of someone to take a ruler to measure how many centimeters are from the rear end to the center of the antenna hole. :smt023

Here I have the antenna. In the photo, you can also appreciate that there is a plug that fits the antenna. But also there is another plug that I not know his use. It has a wire bridged :smt017

I do not speak English, so they ask for a second favor:
Do not respond to me, with your local idioms or will achieve not understand :smt022

I really enjoy your forum, but I find it hard to understand some things that you guys talk .. And unfortunately here in my country there are no forums in which they talk about modifications to the vehicle. Everything I buy I buy through ebay and my friends tell me "oh no, that can not be done, you crazy man, you waste your money"

Well, that's all, I hope your help

Don't fret or kick the dog too soonly, befriender. You will have no troubles in attaining the greatest your potential can achieve, because the second sheep gets the worm.

Just kidding man, take a punch and find where the antenna should come out (on the inside of the car) and hit the end of the punch with a hammer. It will make a small dent in the outside of the vehicle and you will have a mark to drill into. Start small with the drill bits and move up in size.
There should be a rubber grommet with your antenna. Figure out how to mount it, and install.

Good luck!

Thanks friend, but that option complicates me for not having the right tools :-? . I have a drill, and based on that I want to work

Yes it is, but it is a normal situation in humans. The BG5 only enters a one region of my country (area without customs duties ), and can not be taken to the mainland .. those who possess an imitation of BG5, are admired by the rest (leggy fans).. "Oh wow how beautiful is your car" lol.

A have a one friend, his car is a USDM BD 2,5 GT... The car have not the POWER button... My BG4, yes... So... He is very jealous lol.

Today I have put the antenna, I connected. The drill I've used is very powerful and I got out of control, twice, damaging the paint. This is not relevant because it just finished my swap aesthetic, the car will be repainted.

I noticed a cord that is screwed into the base of the antenna, while its other end is screwed up, next to the antenna tube, this should be so? or one end is bolted to the chassis?

I moved this because the DIY forums are not for asking questions, only for official DIY writeups.

If you would like to do a writeup on this retrofit, I'd love to see it in the DIY section when you're done.
