I keep hearing how there is no Bay Area Meet for Leggy owners, so lets change that! My thought is to maintain a list on the first post, so there is no need to search out the info. In the first post, you will see I put down local members, city and links to their MR1 reports. I'm also thinking of putting together a map, just showing the citys with SL-i members. If you want to be added or your info needs correction, just post the info here. If you want to be removed, post here or send me a pm.

We can use this thread for planning meetups, bbqs, tech days, caravans... you name it!

If you want to volunteer your location for a tech day, bbq, or whatever, that would be sweet!

This will be good, a friend and I used to hold a meet back in the day for 2.5rs's and 2.5GT's I would be down to do it again, we went on a drive then bbq'd. I can offer my muscles (little what i have) I dont have a pretty toolset but i know how to do anything from brake swaps to electrical work. And you can add me in as vallejo/Walnut Creek.

Im totally down for this! Thank you for taking the initiative to starting a thread for this. With many of us coming from different parts of the bay area, we'll have to decide where makes the most sense for the meet. So no one has to drive a ridiculous amount of time. lets make this happen though!

Im down for a meet/event/build session, got the tools too! I go to SJSU and work/live in Newark so im across the South Bay alot.

No problem, I was kinda waiting for someone else to get it rolling and wondered why I hadnt done it!
I think it also makes sense to do them on weekends, since some will have to drive for an hour to get home.

We joked a bit that if we cant get more Legacys out, that we will just turn it into a green Subaru meet!

Subaru and a high profile media company have teamed up for a 3 episode web series that will air on Discovery Digital network next year. Beau Bonneau Casting is assisting in the search for Bay Area local owners of older Subaru’s with 100,000 miles or more willing to get a free vehicle customization. We are seeking Subaru owners who use their vehicles for social good, and/or have specific needs or may have an interesting story. Potential examples: vehicle is used to donate time to a charity; vehicle is mode of transportation for a large, single-parent family; vehicle is used for an outdoor conservation activity.

Requirements: Applicants must own a Subaru in running order, live within 50 miles of the San Francisco Bay area and agree to a preliminary background check in order to be considered. The chosen candidates will have to appear on camera over 2–3 days between 12/10/13 – 2/1/14 in San Francisco and agree to allow them to customize your Subaru for free to aid in your daily life or charitable/good-hearted activity. Customizations will depend on owner and car use to best personalize and increase vehicle condition and longevity.

I'm trying to find a 2nd gen Legacy/1st gen Outback hood in decent shape. Green or black would be best, and I'd like it to have a scoop (although I suppose I could retrofit one from a WRX but I'd rather not). Any suggestions for what junkyards to go to?

edit: might as well also mention that I'm looking for a set of 15s. 1st gen Forester aluminum ones would be perfect, but the 2nd gen Legacy ones look pretty nice too. Maybe a rear LSD too (mine's 4.44 but I hear it's easy to swap gearing)

I'm just going to be in town for the weekend, but this stuff is all heavy and therefore shipping is difficult - otherwise I wouldn't post in the Bay Area section.
