02 WRX spring in BE

I've been searching and haven't found a definitive answer. Wanting to lower my BE, thinking about going with 02 WRX springs. From what I gather I will most likely need to swap the perch in front to impreza as the spring tapers on top? If this is correct what about the rear??

It looks like things are different back there. Can I just swap in WRX springs off the 02 or will they not fit in the back. Kinda stuck here, any suggestions for dropping my BE are very much appreciated. Looks like the H&R are the only real aftermarket option and even those apparently need adjusting for the front to fit as they aren't US spec for the sedan.

The fronts u can do with the wrx top hats. The rears u can't being that it's shocks and not struts. H&R springs would be the way to go but I'm sure there's other ways around this

Thanks for the reply and for confirming what I wasn't quite sure of. So, that being said. Anybody have experience lowering a BE with something other than H&R springs? Possibly a different spring that may be available for this sedan?

I don't believe there's any taper to the front springs, for clarity. The taper is 03+ Impreza/Forester rear springs, which aren't compatible with the BE's rear suspension anyways.

Thanks Mark, so anybody have any experience lowering this model down with something other than the H&Rs? Just trying to explore some options before pulling the trigger one way or the other. Grimmrican, did your H&Rs drop in pretty easily?

The other direction is trying newer year springs (+05 BL, BP) on your struts. Many newer gen wagon owners have been swapping springs to get a lowered/comfort rate. Would work in the same direction, though you have to get the right tophat.

So far I have seen H&Rs(I have those on my wagon). There used to be ION performance springs, but those were in a group buy. Teins exist but there garbage for handling unless you have H-Techs.

My h&r springs are stiff and awesome. My car already had some kyb struts so all I did was swap out the springs. Maybe about 1-2hours of work and swearing and dying from the flu. Other than that u should have much better luck than me lol

As Grimmrican said there pretty easy to install, just like normal springs. Being an outback, they lowered the car along with the Bilsteins I installed with the H&Rs. Great combo, though they do get bouncy on the roads here in the bay (May swap to KYBs and rebuild the bilsteins). When you first get them there super bouncy but once they settle in with the weight of the car, it smooths out pretty well and handles great!
