Muffler and short ram intake

Hey guys I want to install a universal muffler and a universal short ram intake. The thing is I don't know what sizes would be best. Can somone help??!!

2.5 inch for the exhaust (please buy a bolt on) and intake is anything that will fit on an Impreza 1993-2001

2.25" for the exhaust is what's usually recommended unless you're running mods or a turbo. 2.5" could work with a 2.5L engine, but would really kill the torque on a 2.2. As we don't have any vehicle info from you, it's kind hard to be more specific.

As for the intake, skip it. It's engine dressing, no more. Subaru didn't engineer the stock intake with restrictions in mind, so you really don't need aftermarket until you're running a lot more power.

Any 2.25 inlet muffler will work - just have a shop weld it on. As for brand, check out this thread. It's a good starting point.
