I have 2001 Legacy L wagon, I found a great deal on some Enkei rims that are 17x8 Size and 5x100 lug pattern. I know the 5x 100 pattern will fit but will the 17x8 rims and tires fit on my legacy without problems? Has anyone else pulled it off before?

whats the offset? I've used like 4 sets of 17x8 wheels since I've owned it...all worked because they're the right offset.

I apologize the rims are 18x8, I'm not too sure the exact offset ( it's 42 or 45). Here is a web site and picture of the rim itself.

It should fit with no issues. The tire size would be the major factor. You should be able to run a 225/40R18 with no issues.

yes, but you'll need to match suspension if the are 18's

or don't "stance" your car to the point that youre forced to compromise your handling just so you don't scrub your tires.

the diameter of your wheel has absolutely nothing to do with whether you will have clearance problems.

I always check the sizes with www.willtheyfit.com (http://www.willtheyfit.com)

I put in the OEM size and make sure that it's not much closer to the strut than stock. It also will help you calculate speedometer error from different size tires.
