Spare tire matching question

Hello All

I bought my first Subaru last week (1997 Legacy wagon, 5-spd standard). I have read that the spare should match the tires on the car because of the AWD.
The car has 205-70 R15 tires
I have an old tire that is a 205-75 R15 is that close enough? It is a different manufacturer

I would at least try to match it but that should be close enough.Remember its just to use to get you home or to the shop until you get the blown/flat fixed.

subarus generally call for max 1/4" circumference difference so take a tape measure and wrap around both tires if they are withing 1/4" of each other than you can use it.
