Hey SLI

Well, been a Subaru fan for many years, never really had the opportunity to buy one. was looking at picking up a 2005 legacy gt when a good friend of mine ask if i wanted his car (FOR FREE). i graciously nodded my head as they just purchased a 2009 legacy OB. my wife an i were thrilled because we didn't really want to go through the hassle of buying a car, so this was awesome, plus i have a thing for older cars anyways.
the previous owners had a detailed handbook of every maintenance done, oil change and every single gas fill up. Plus just 6 month prior he had just did a full head gasket job and rebuilt the whole top end with ac compressor, alternator, cables and such. So to sum it up, mechanically this is very good, not a thing wrong other than having to put in new cats for a P0420 code, but thats taken care of. on the cosmetic side, it need some work, but its getting there. so lets get to the pics.

This is just after i picked her up, brought her to my shop to do some work

Looks good! I'd say try to find some fairly new 02-07 WRX struts and springs to lower the car at a cheap price.

I like it, and you can't beat the price lol. You've already brought it a good way in the looks department can't wait to see what else you do.

Thanks, if its cheap it may just happen, sounds good, so just struts and springs? anything else needed?

As far as struts and springs go, and 2nd gen legacy can use the complete strut assembly from a 02-07 WRX and I believe an 04 STi. Look in the suspension section to confirm that though.

I have struts and springs from an 02 WRX wagon on 98 Legacy wagon. Pretty much straight bolt on. You just have to figure out how to mount the brake lines since the mounts on the struts are slightly different. I also have end links from a 02-07 WRX on my wagon. Helps a good bit. Also, to help reduce body roll at a good price you should get front and rear sway bars from an 97-99 Outback.

So I'm not a happy camper today. Walked out from work to see my car keyed up!
Why can't people leave shit that isn't theirs ALONE!
