chassis is a usdm 1997 legacy wagon converted with a RHD, Twin Turbo EJ20H front clip with Auto transmission.
I am going to be headed to the scrap yard this weekend to hopefully get everything i need to do a 5 speed swap.
my car has the auto transmission, so from my research that means it is an EJ20H correct?
it is the DOHC engine, so that should mean that it shares a lot of parts with the ej25D that is in most legacy outbacks, right?
so if this info is true, i will be able to pull all of the transmission, flywheel, and clutch setup out of a legacy GT or Legacy outback with a 2.5 engine and it will bolt up with mine just fine?
is the ej22 compatible as well, same bolt pattern for the flywheel and so forth?
also, i have found a guy who has an exedy oem clutch set from an ej257 04 STI with life left for $40, is this compatible as well?
i ended up ordering a RHD clutch pedal from UK ebay, i am pretty sure that it is a cable style, research also tells me that i can convert a manual transmission with hydro style to a cable style by swapping all of the fork components.
there a multiple scrap yards up on the north end of Seattle where i am at that have many many subaru's, i should be able to pull everything i need out of a single car.
