ok so heres the deal. i have a 98 LGT limited. i am having a problme with serious low end bog and ver very poor gas milage. i press the gas and it just seems like the car doesnt wanna goo unitl i give it wide open throttle. have changed the fuel filter and air filter but the problem is still there. can anyone tell me what it can be. its driving me nuts.

Is the "check engine" light on? Do you have any other symptoms? Has anything been done to the car recently? How does the car run otherwise? Idle OK? Revs smooth?

Make sure the all the vacuum lines are attached to the intake. Have you checked/changed your plugs and plug wires? Are all the plug wires firmly attached?

Did this come about all of a sudden, or has it always done this?

there is no check engine light, it cam on a few times but then went off on its own i tried to pull the codes but came up blank. the revs smooth and idles fine for the most part. the idle does get rough sometimes when i stop at the light, but by the time i make it to the next light its idling fine again. sometimes the car runs fine, othertimes it boggs like no other. its all very random. the plugs were changed but i never did the wires.

Try running some seafoam through it (search seafoam for more info). That might help.

your fuel injectors/rail might need a good cleaning too

How would i go about cleanin the injectors and rail.is this really hard

Buy a bottle of seafoam, run half of it through a vacuum line (slowly), and the other half goes into your fuel tank. I tend to put it in with a 1/4 tank then drive to a gas station. This gives it time to run through at a higher concentration of cleaner to gas for a little bit. Plus, when you pour the gas into the mix it really mixes up the cleaner.
