I want to install some glowshift gauges into my Legacy on the pillar. I wanted to use the oil filter sandwich adaptor for the oil pressure gauge but I was looking under my engine block and found that my UEL Borla header wraps right around the oil filter and leaves little to no room to install the sandwich adaptor and the filter. Any ideas where I could access the block and put the 1/8 NPT thread? I stuck me at a dead stop until I find some answers. Did any of you guys put gauges in your subies, what setup?

The oil adapter I can't use...

Here is the sender unit for the electronic oil pressure gauge.

Would this gallery plug work for the EJ25 Block?

I had to use this. Then you use the oil adapater in the second picture.

I also used the oil plug in the back of the motor.

Used the same thing baddog posted but i used the one under the alternator, i've heard it gives the best reading since its right by the oil pump. I just left the oil pressure sensor unhook

Update: I got both gauges completely installed and I used a prosport galley adaptor along with another brass 1/8 NPT on top of that. Oil pressure is by far working great. But my vacuum gauge seems to shake quite a bit while im driving normally. Im not sure if it is the vac line I chose ( I chose the smaller vac line directly after the intake manifold on top) but I noticed when the engine is stone cold the vac gauge DOES NOT shake and stays steady. Any Ideas on what could be the deal with my vacuum gauge?

Yea, it warms up and your line leaks.

Where do you think it would be leaking? On the line going to the gauge or the fitting. Maybe I should find another line to tap into on the block.

Hard to tell, youve given zero details on your vacuum setup. Did you use a nylon line with a compression fitting? I vaguely remember an unused 1/8 pipe fitting on my 98 brighton which would probably be ideal.

I used a small extension of nylon vacuum line from pep boys to use my plastic T fitting between the stock vacuum line and the fitting on the top of the manifold directly after the throttle plate. Out from the T fitting was the supplied clear vac/boost hose to the gauge. I bought 2 types of line from pep boys, one smaller and one bigger. I used the bigger and it could possibly be leaking around the manifold fitting. When I get home today I can throw the smaller on and see if that changes anything.

Youre doing it wrong

If were on the same page, for the vacuum line I just moved the T and moved it to a different vacuum line on the intake manifold. Got some smaller vac line and it is working perfectly! For the oil sender I used 1/8 NPT fittings like you said, and that is dry & working great.
