Ok...so I have a 1999 Legacy SUS Limited..I bought the car for cheap...bad thing is it needs a lot of work, and has a salvage title..

Motor in the car is giving me issues. Its got 171,000 miles and makes quite a bit of noise. Still driveable, but annoying. The car is loaded...as most Limited's are. But it needs core support, left rear quarter panel, both bumper covers are messed up...almost to much to do for a car with a salvage title.

Now at the shop I work at, we got in a 98 Legacy Brighton that had hit a deer. I already know I can swap over all my front end stuff..but where I am looking for help is the wiring.

If I were to swap over everything out of the SUS..interior...dash..all wiring...what problems will I run in to? Will the Sedan harness work in a Wagon?

Also...the Brighton is a 5 speed, the SUS is an Auto..when using the SUS harness would I just treat this as a 5 speed swap? Or am I completely wrong about this swap.

Thanks in advance for any help....

Thanks for the info on the at to mt stuff...I have read that over and over...thats not the hard part...I need to know if Can use my 99 SUS harness for the heated seats, windshield, mirrors, power doors etc in the 98 Brighton...or should I just find a 98ish OUtback with the options and grab that harness.

I'm not sure how the wiring is laid out of those added features. Might be able to just unplug from one car into another. But if not you'll have to look for another harness.

It'll be easier to find an outback 5 speed harness (98-99) bulkhead. The difference on the sedan and wagon is a connector (3 big ones i think) on the passenger kick panel aside from the xtras from the harness. Be careful if you trying to get one from a 97 since some have the older abs module and charcoal canister

Yeah..I am going to wait on swapping all the other nice things for now...

My buddy said that the junk yard I usually go to has for sure 1 outback wagon, with heated seats, 5 speed, and a 2.2..So I am just going to drive the Brighton as is till things thaw out and I can go get that harness.
