I have a 96 legacy gtb twin turbo and need to find the part number for the rear right wheel bearing as its gone, would a outback wheel bearing work from same year?

As long as it's the same knuckle type (drum vs. disk) it should be the same. Heck, the Imprezas should be the same, too, but use opposed forces like couchfuzzy suggests, I use that site all the time when ordering parts.

It should be the same a lot of the subarus use the same wheel bearing. Dealer usually has them and the seals in stock. Do yourself a favor and get a new hub also.

I wouldn't waste money with a new hub, they almost never need replacing unless there's something visibly damaged. You could buy a hub, get in there, take a look and return the hub if you don't need it.
One thing I would recommend is replacing the bearings in pairs (do the left & right at the same time on either front or back).

Ive had a bent hub and had to replace the bearing twice. Local subaru shop always replaces the hub also.
