Just wanted to stop by this section and formally say hello! I'm about to purchase a 2002 Subaru Legacy L [wagon]. I'm not new to Subaru one bit. Before the Legacy, I had a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS [sedan]. I owned for a little under 7 years. I bought that car with 70k miles and drove her all the way to 200k miles. So I know exactly what Subaru's are capable of and what it takes to maintain them. That being said, I was in the market for something a bit more roomy, IE: Legacy Wagon, Outback or Forester.

most recent shot of my old Impreza right before I sold it. The hood was supposed to be re-plastidipped but the buyer said it didn't bother him, he'd either redo it in the spring or take it all off.

I came across this 2002, it is in my price range and had a suitable amount of mileage with a lot of the proper maintenance done to it already. I don't know a whole lot about the Legacy platform but I hope it's as easy to learn as the Impreza was. I'm certainly going to miss my 2.5RS but the wagon will be much more beneficial in the future.

Image the seller posted. I'll be picking it up on thursday, but some of the mods from the Impreza will go on the Legacy :)

Thanks for allowing me to join the site and I hope to make some new friends here in the Legacy community. :icon_bigg I'll make a journal and everything. I'm on RS25 if anyone is interested in finding my Trader ratings or previous posts or whatever. I'm an easy going guy that loves Subaru's and working on cars.

Cheers,
-teece

Welcome to SLi Teece,

Everything is the same as your old RS except for the rear suspension setup. Lots of options and mods for this platform. the BE/BH is much heavier then the previous generation but its fully capable of keeping you going for years and years.

Enjoy the forum

I appreciate the welcome Chuck! I already have many plans for the wagon, and I can't wait to learn all about this platform!
